I wanted to let you all know that this past Saturday (08/23/08) we lost one of our own doing what he and all of us love doing (riding motocross). Mike Brown #410 lost his life riding with friends out in the Pathfinder area this past Saturday afternoon, he was riding with Tom Lineweber & Shon Martin across flat ground in high grass when they hit a creek about 4’ wide. Without warning there was no time to stop and both Shon and Mike were thrown from their bikes. Shon’s bike landed next to him where as Mike’s happened to land on him, Tom was able to stop before the creek. He is survived by his wife Toni, a son Doug and a daughter Loren. He was a good person and a great friend to all of us here – he will be dearly misses by all of us here in Casper and also by those of you who new him throughout Wyoming. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers in this time of sorrow. At the race this Sunday we will show our respect and friendship for Mike by racing with a black ribbon on our goggle straps or any place you can get it tied to without endangering yourself, anyone who would like to participate we would love to have you.
